“Planting The Sun” By: Harry Pan

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” Jenny’s English teacher said “Can anyone share your dreams?” She queried.

“I want to be a full-time Netflix viewer!” said Hubert Blaine Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff whose name is the longest in the world.

“I am going to travel to space in the future!” said E, whose name only has 1 character.

Their English teacher was satisfied with their answer, as well as their names. Then she asked what’s Jenny’s opinion.

“I…I want to grow the sun,” replied Jenny.

Her cheeks flushed red as the crowd snickered and tittered in spite of her. Her classmate tried to suppress their giggling but ended up bursting into loud laughter.

Teacher’s heart rate had increased. It seems so hot that she would be getting fully red on her body. She angrily shook her computer and drop it onto the ground with her clenched jaw full of rase. She was shouting, ranting and making a lot of noises.

“I don’t want to see you in my classroom next time!”.

Jenny came home from school but her mother didn’t prepare dinner for her but left her alone in her room crying. Her lunch had been ruined by her classmate, so she always had a stomachache. She believes everything is possible. What did she do wrong? 

There was a lack of energy in her body, so she quickly fell asleep. In Jenny’s dream,

Tony was sitting under a huge tree which must have existed for more than thousands of years. A fierce wind blew on his body but there is no movement. Although Tony was like a young teenager, however, it seems like he had experienced the bruises of time. Tony let her have some tea. Jenny felt very painful, just like eating tons of bitter gourd. She bellowed her mouth as a giant dragon hurling fire as it breathes. At the time she prepared to complain about it, the level of the bitter decreased just on the level people can able to bear. Suddenly the taste of sweetness and fragrant were released in her mouth. She enjoyed this time, it was like she entered the fairyland surrounded by millions of fairies.

She got lost in thought when she finished the tea, “This is the most excellent tea I have never drunk before.”

“Why? ”Tony asked,

“If I didn’t guess it wrong, the flavour of this tea represents your life, start from eternal pain that no one was experienced before. Then you became very usual and ordinary, no one will notice but at last, you are a successful” said Jenny.

“That’s right I waited for so long. I finally find a people who can understand my feelings.” Tony said broodingly, “By the way what is your dream? What are you after? ”He found that there were a lot similar between him and Jenny when she said her dream about planting the sun. 

Tony was so impressed by her so he gave Jenny the seed of the sun. After that, she found a very small sun in her hand. She slowly put the seed into the soil with full of happiness and excitement. Her dream, always denied by others, but she insisted on the dream of more than ten years, always so beautiful

Few years after, Jenny still suffers from her family and in the school, but when she was looking after her son, always felt so happy and it seems all the sadness was disappeared.

She had four sons when they ripened. Her dream has not finished because she didn’t know where to put, although she has the right to control those suns. Under deep consideration, she decided to give each sun to Antarctica, South Pole, winter and night to make the world warm and bright.

When everyone thought there were so many resources in such a good environment, They didn’t realize those terrible things had happened. All parts of the world have become very hot and bright. Crops and trees have been burned down, and animals have been wiped out. It was in the midst of a crisis in the human world that Jenny let out these suns. Only she can solve this problem.

Jenny didn’t want to help the world because the world didn’t help her and everyone around her abandoned her, and even President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping came to her and refused. Although the United Nations was pleading for love, she was indifferent. No one could help her forget her heart.

Tony appeared again in her dream that night. Tony told her a lot about life and his own experiences were very similar to hers. Everyone has to overcome the idea that even if others do worse for themselves, they should stick to their dreams and not be confused by anyone.

It was a world of fire, plunge the people into misery and suffering, no one can save them. Endless fire area, like the arrival of Fire Emperor along with his ten thousand chariots with fires. All organisms, even the non-organism, have reached the melting point. This is undoubtedly a devastating blow to the threat of human civilization. Thousands of years of effort will be destroyed in the present.

Jenny thought about the conversation for days and night, and even forgot to have a meal and didn’t sleep. When the world betrayed her, who was longing for her? Now she is more miserable than anyone, thinking about what she wants to save from what she once hated the most. After a long consideration, she yielded in.
