Ripple of Kindness By: Amy Feng

In the deep mountains of Montana, there once was a family that lived there for generations, the Buckets. This mountain has beautiful sceneries. Not like the other valleys, that makes you feel creepy, haunted, and mysterious. Instead, this mountain has warm weather, and has unique wildlife including plants, flowers, and adorable animals. This mountain is just like Hawaii without volcanoes.

The Buckets now, has 3 members in the family, Mr. Bucket, Mrs. Bucket, and their son, George Bucket. Mr. Bucket is n serious man, who always looks withdrawn. He has a bald head and always wears plaid shirt and blue jeans. Every time you see him, he’s probably chewing a hay. The mom, Mrs. Bucket is a hard-working woman. She does all the household chores like cooking, cleaning, and sewing.

Their son, George Bucket, a lovely little boy with curly blond hair that falls on his shoulder, has bright blue eyes. George does not go to school, instead he helps his parents sell the crops at the market. The market is ten miles away from the deep mountain.

One day, George is in the market trying to sell some crops to others. He saw the neighbor stall is filled with customers looking and choosing the crops. George thought deeply, huh, my crops has better quality than them. They don’t understand why.

George began the yield with an enormous volume, “Come and see. High quality corns,  and lettuce!”

Few moments later, a tall, skinny woman named Julie came to the market. Walking in a fast speed. No one know why she came here. She has a gorgeous looks and has a delicate makeup on her face, wearing a luxury dress, matched with high-heeled stilettos. She saw George, and felt bewildered, why is a child selling crops in market? Then she walked to George’s stall.

George asked happily, “Hi madam, take a look, all are fresh and tasty.”

Julie asked, “Why are you here? You should be in school.”

George replied, “ My parents can’t afford it, so I’m helping them too sell some crops. Therefore I can go to school.“

Julie frowned and said firmly, “Now pack up. Don’t sell anymore. It is useless you can never afford the money that is needed for your education.”

George hit the table and shouted out loud, “What? Get out!”

Julie said, “ I will help you now. I will pay the fee for your education until university.”

George cried “ really? Thank you!”

Tears went out of George, and he kneeled down and thanked Julie. She saw this scene and felt heart broken.

“Stand up child. What’s your name?”, Julie asked.

“George Bucket”

Julie ran away, and cried. She is also like George when she was a child. Now, she is helping others.
