CHAPTER 1
Hunter Union is an organization that has the best hunters in the world. Each hunter has their own super power. The president of Hunter Union is Nitero. He is an old man who has a long-life time. He operates the union and manages all the state mission, equivalent to the Ministry of Defense of Mankind.
In remaining the last half of the year…
The king of Monorry took two guards with him. They occupied the NGL kingdom for only two days. They walked toward the palace of NGL and killed all the guards and knights without hesitation. Mei was full of blood and broke into the President’s Office, they found the NGL president was just a lazy fat man who was eating a table of food that was served by a group of women.The fat man looked back at Mei without any expression. He did not seem to care about his country’s welfare. He didn’t even know what was happening outside because he was watching the women perform at that time. Immediately, the King ceased the slaughter then sat down in front of the him.
“Let’s make a deal,” the King ordered.
The fat man was shocked and shouted out “Security guards!”
However, nobody responded. They are all dead. He looked out of the balcony. The whole palace was dyed red with blood. Now, he probably knows what was going on. He began to pour tea for Mei to relieve his embarrassment, cold sweat ran on his forehead.
“What do you want?” fat man quivered.
Mei took a sip of tea and said slowly, “You only need to announce to the public in the National people Congress, to make sure everyone must attend.”
Recently the President was locked under prison. They blackmailed him to convince the people or otherwise he will be dead. The government has become a façade to this charade. Monorry has completely colonized the kingdom. Citizens were lining up to enter the palace. On one area, a butterfly man is stuns the crowd with his pollens. Their aim is to secretly gather all the citizens, then pick the person that has the most potential power to transform into Monorry.
When enough Monorry are collected, they can form an army to take over the world.
In fact, the Hunter Union in a far distance has already started a meeting. They mentioned the birth of Monorry King for a long time. They analyzed enemy’s power is too strong that no humans can easily fight against. “According to the information provided, the first isolated species has invaded,” Nobu warned. We all know that power of Monorry. Everyone in the meeting looked solemn. Suddenly A 14- year-old boy raised his hands says calmly, “The battle plans have already been drawn up, the only thing that is lacking now is President Nitero’s help.
CHAPTER 2
One day, The King is tired of killing, looking for something challenging. Although he was only born for 2 years, his strong learning ability makes him easily surpass humans in almost every field. While he is reading books, an activity piqued his interest—Chess. This game is a rigorous test of logical thinking, but it requires two people to play. He immediately commands all the top chess players to come and have a chess “battle” with him in the palace. Although the guards don’t want humans in at first, they can’t hold back the King’s childish heart.
The next day, the guards forced a man who won the national medal into the palace in handcuffs. He is the first human who sees the King’s real face. He is frightened by the King’s powerful field, then he fainted instantly.
“He is not needed,” the King ordered.
The King’s tail pricks his hair quickly, and blood spattered everywhere “Tell the people at the back, nobody can leave here alive until someone wins!” the King bellowed.
One after another people enter the palace, but no one has left successfully.
“Humans are silly. That’s what they created in 6000 years ago?” he asked aloud.
Suddenly a young girl comes in calmly with a walking stick and closes her eyes as she sits opposite to the king.
“Could you please describe to me the movement of your chess pieces, so I can imagine the structure in my mind,” the King asked the girl.
The King realizes that she is blind. He feels surprise at her behavior and attitude. He faces the girl seriously. They chat naturally while playing chess, finally the girl wins. King is shocked at the game result, since he has never lost since he was born. It is just impossible!
“Again!” he says indignantly. The girl is very willing to play with him.
After chatting with her, he knows that the girl was abandoned by her parents at a young age. Because of her disables eyes, chess became the only thing that she is good at, and people only pay attention to her because of her chess skills. Time passes by as they play from morning to night.
“You can have a rest if you need it. I heard that humans sleep at night” the King suggested
“It’s okay, I never feel sleepy when I play chess.” she answered with a sweet smile.
Soon she experienced fatigue. The King can sense her physical state. He orders the Butterfly Man to put up a guest for the night. This is the first time he thinks of others. Perhaps the King has also matured emotionally.
Day after day, he becomes more and more persistent, but the game result never changes.
“I will win and kill her one day, maybe…” he promised to himself.
Every day the Butterfly Man observes them chatting. The lovely girl shares about her human daily life routine to the King. All her laughter worries him.
The Butterfly Man senses the change of the King and worries that the King will gain human feelings. The King should be ruthless killer who rules the world, instead of wasting time playing chess.
Now the King should care about his main work which is the selection of army, but all of his attention is diverted on chess and this girl. The only thing that the Butterfly Man can do is stare at the little girl with fierce eyes.
CHAPTER 3
One day has left.
Last night, Nobu and Killua have infiltrated the border and explored the terrain. One of the Nobu’s super power is teleportation, So He and Killua were scouts and they have drawn the map of palace successfully and brought it back. They have discussed a complete strategy with Killua’s wisdom and Nobu’ experience. Gon also has gotten in touch with Hunter’s President Nitero and was training for the fight.The War begins
All the Hunters (Assassination Squad) sit on the Dragon that is conjured by Nitero. They are galloping in the sky at a high speed just above the palace. Suddenly everyone jumps out of the Dragon and the Dragon changes into meteor shower attack. The palace is under siege with meteor showers. The palace shattered into ruins in an instant. At the same time, the Monorry goes into a fighting mode, and the Hunters start to diverge according to the plan.
They invade the palace from the balcony. As soon as they enter the palace, they see one of the Guards— Red horse is standing in front of the stairs that is like waiting for them. They can’t believe the Guards prepared so fast, Killua, Gon and Nobu haven’t reach second floor of the place. They plan to act separately, therefore their plan is out of the order.The Red horse flies into a great range, he clenched his fist and breaks the stairs, “No one can pass me!” screamed Nobu as he holds the Red horse to create opportunities for them to leave.
Meanwhile, Gon goes to the second floor.
Killua and Gon run up the stairs panting. He refuses the idea that Gon wants to help Nobu and says, “We must follow the plan, or this mission may fail.”
Gon nods and continues their mission. On the other side, the King is sitting alone in the main hall and waiting for the President. President Nitero opens the door and step calmly in, they look at each other for a long moment. Nitero knows that with the intelligence of Monorry. He assumes that the King surely could guess their plan.He wonders to himself, how come no guards are here? So, a sneak attack does not work. It is better to directly do it face to face.
To President Nitero’s surprise, the first words he says is “Let’s take a different place.”
Then he walks out of the door without turning back. President Nitero agrees and follows from behind.
Killua and Gon stand on the second floor and see President Nitero and King walk out together from the room. It is impossible that whom the guards are looking for is not with the King. There must be some essential reasons. Otherwise, they must go and protect the King with their duties. Through Killua’s reasoning, he sees only two possible things to happen. One is the King orders guards not to come, and the other is that the Guards haven’t come yet. But at the Butterfly man’s speed and strength, he is immune to meteor showers. So, it’s more likely to be the first guess. Suddenly Killua has a flash of inspiration and runs to the reception room with Gon.
CHAPTER 4
A loud bang broke the silence and at once, all the buildings collapsed. The meteor showers hit the ground through the roof and a haze of smoke spread around the palace.
The Red Horse and the Butterfly man assigned task immediately. They were born to put their lives into protecting the King. So, they rushed to the main hall at once. The Red Horse stood at the foot of stairs because it is the sole entrance to the main hall. The Butterfly man’s task is to stay around King.But the King kept a straight face said to the Butterfly man, “I can handle on my own. You quickly go to the reception room to protect the girl. Her human body surely can’t withstand such attack.”
“My job is to protect you, we don’t have to care about her. If you still want to find a person to play chess with you, we can move to another country to find that next person.” The Butterfly man replied.
“This is not about playing chess! This is my order!” the King shouted.
The Butterfly Man bowed and left. After He was driven out of the main hall, he got an idea. This girl is bound to affect the future of the King. As the King of the country, emotional attachments are unnecessary. So, it’s a good chance to lie to the King that the girl died in this war. Then let me puts an end to their relationship. He smiled wickedly and rushed to the reception room to check if she is still alive or dead.He found that she hid under the bed and was weighed down by scraps of wood. She is still breathing…
CHAPTER 5
Gon and Killua get to the reception room. Seeing the Butterfly Man is holding a piece of wood and is about to stab the little girl, Gon quickly jumps up and kicks the splinter out of his hand.
“How did you find this place?” the Butterfly Man asked.
But no time for him to respond. Gon quickly punches him in the face, and at the same time Killua picks up the little girl and takes it away, just leaving Gon behind to fight.
The Butterfly Man thinks for a moment and says “She’d better die. I don’t care!”
Soon he breaks the window and flies to the King. He left the two boys standing there. The boys are surprised and shocked. They wonder why there is a human girl and why Butterfly man is here? What’s the relationship between them? Everything they encountered is anomalous. The two boys decided to treat the girl first. She needs immediate medical attention.
The Butterfly man hurtle through the sky and in a hurry to find the king. Suddenly, he hears an explosion coming from the mountain. The mountain is blasted into pieces. They fight so hard that all the plants around them died.
“Oh no!” he said as he hovers over the mountain and looking anxiously for the King. “King! where are you?” his voice echoes.
He rummages through the ruins and sees the King dying under a stone. He moves the stone with all his might and tries to wake him up. The King opens his eyes slowly and can’t stop coughing. It’s seems that he is in a bad shape.
“Where am I?” he murmurs. “I
can’t remember everything,” he mutters to himself.
He went to the back of the hill with President Nitero before him. President Nitero sacrificed himself, and the King won. Helost his memory. His body is in a bad condition. The Butterfly Man tells him about everything, except the girl. The Butterfly Man says he is the strongest King in the world and his goal is to rule the world. King believes him but still feels something is missing.“Let’s go back to the palace” the King orders.
The Butterfly man spreads his wings. They look down at the palace from the sky. All the buildings have lost their shape. All the sceneries stimulate his memory. He thinks that his pursuit is not only to rule the world but also something else.
On the way back to palace, the Butterfly man reminds that the chess pieces are still left in the palace. He slows down flying and starts worrying. At the same time he let his doppelgänger to hurry and clean the main hall to hide the chess pieces.What if the King sees the chess pieces, and he might recall the girl again? he pondered.
The King mentions his strange behavior and looks around the environment. His memory awakens a little bit, but his heart is still empty.
“Take me to the main hall, now!” the King orders.
The Butterfly Man becomes tenser. Finally, they get to the main hall. Everything is broken but what’s missing is that something extra. King glanced around the room and rummaged through the ruins.
Suddenly a chess piece appeared in front of him and, the girl’s face flashed in his mind. A scene strikes him immediately— They play chess every day and chat a lot. Good memories filled his eyes.
“Why did you lie to me?” he quizzed him angrily.
The sweat burst out upon Butterfly Man’s brow. He doesn’t know how to answer.
“Tell me where she is!” he screamed.
The Butterfly Man knelt down at once and answered, “The two boys took her away.”
He runs outside immediately, then sees the two boys are leaving by car. He walks up to them. The gigantic figure appears in front of them. They stop the car, and their eyes meet each other. The two boys immediately are in a fighting position, ready to attack.
However, the King fall to his knees and pleaded, “Please don’t take her away!”
The boys are surprised. They have done so many things and just like that the King just gave up.
“I have only 3 hours left to live, and I want those hours to be with her,” he explained.
But Gon got mad and shouted to him, “How could I trust you. If you are sensitive, why didn’t you care about the others when you killed innocent people!”
He kept on his kneeling in silence.
Gon keeps on shouting, “If you can feel the pain of dying, why are you doing like this!”
The king cuts off his hand, to show that he has no aggression toward them.
Killua stops Gon. He feels his soft side, and then delivers the girl.
King looks at her injured body and holds her tightly. The first tear streamed down from his eyes.
